As mentioned above, agileWORKFLOW replaces all the schedulers of your BI tools with one, single platform which controls everything. With its much richer events, multiple calendars support and external visibility (without any scripts or touch files), BICC's using BusinessObjects or Cognos are free to develop complex BI Applications more independantly of IT, based on events they are able to define themselves in a user-friendly graphical interface to launch groups of reports. With all the appropriate security protection so one gets into trouble, IT and BICC's can now collaborate fully through "public" events that IT creates, indicating individual data mart readiness. Inversely, BICC's can create events they can trigger manually, which IT in turn can use to launch specific ETL's on demand like refreshing intra-day financial Hyperion cubes, during month-end.
